UPDATED: Two cars have collided on Middle Road at the junction with Broad Lane this morning (Wednesday).
Multiple Police and ambulance units are currently attending the incident, in which a Land Rover Discovery 4×4 has collided into the side of a Ford C-Max people carrier.
The occupants of both vehicles, including children, have escaped any serious injury.
Police are advising motorists to avoid the area.
UPDATE @ 13:30 – The scene has now been cleared and the road is open as normal.
