The Island’s Wightlink Warriors speedway team embark on a busy week of away meetings starting tomorrow (Thursday) as they travel to Swindon in the National Trophy, followed by back-to-back league matches at Buxton on Sunday and Birmingham on Bank Holiday Monday.
The Warriors have been boosted by the news that number 1 Ben Wilson has reported fit for duty following his awkward fall at home to Cradley last Thursday. In addition, the Island side will also welcome back Nathan Greaves for the first 2 upcoming meetings as he has no fixture clashes with his Championship/Premiership clubs. Luke Priest will guest for the Warriors at Birmingham in place of Greaves as a Wolverhampton meeting takes him away again.
The next home meeting at the Andrew Younie Smallbrook Stadium will be during the school half term week on Thursday 1st June (19:00 start) when Plymouth return in National Trophy action.
