Islanders can expect to see travel disruption first thing tomorrow morning (Thursday) with heavy fog expected across the Isle of Wight.
According to local forecasters IW Met Service, fog patches will develop as we move through tonight before becoming locally dense and rather widespread by dawn.
Not everywhere will see the foggy conditions. However, where fog does develop there will be significant variations in visibility over short distances and this will lead to some hazardous driving conditions.
A yellow weather warning for fog has been issued, which is in force from 01:00-11:00 on Thursday 5th November.
After sunrise the fog will linger for a few hours but slowly break up as the morning progresses. In 1 or 2 spots it could linger into the afternoon.
Travel may be affected, including cross-Solent travel. Red Funnel are warning of likely disruption to both their Red Jet and Vehicle Ferry services.
Good, may mean some of those crossing the channel, may end up going back where they belong, not sponging off us for the rest of eternity.
Nor filling P enny F eathers and all the other massive building programmes happening in Ryde and other areas of our soon to be ruined, beautiful Island.

Nobody who shouts “Vote them out” has any suggestion about who to replace ‘them’ with, as the same parties will still put up the same sort of candidate, so once again a pointless boring remark.
