UPDATED: Motorists heading in and out of Ryde this morning (Monday) are facing significant delays following a road traffic collision on the main road at Binstead.
Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance service are attending the incident at the junction with Brookfield Gardens, where one car has collided with the rear of another resulting in two people being injured. A third vehicle has also been involved.
Police are directing traffic in both directions.
Motorists are advised to find an alternative route.
UPDATE @ 11:35 – Two people have been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital following the collision, however they are not thought to have sustained any serious injuries.
UPDATE @ 11:50 – The scene has now been cleared and traffic is now able to flow in both directions.
