Residents at Fairhaven Residential Home have enjoyed a heart-warming visit from 2 gentle donkeys, bringing smiles and laughter to all involved.
The special visit, organised with the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, saw residents come outside to meet and interact with the animals, with staff delighted that everyone chose to take part.
Fairhaven Residential Home, which specialises in supporting individuals living with dementia, said the experience created a calm and uplifting atmosphere throughout the day.
Moments like these highlight the benefits of animal therapy, helping to stimulate memories, encourage communication and promote emotional wellbeing among residents.
The home has thanked the Wroxall-based sanctuary for their kindness in delivering such a memorable and joyful experience.

The home also mentioned that their roses would benefit too.
