Motorists are being advised of temporary obstructions on a busy road between Wootton and Newport this morning (Wednesday) to allow Police to conduct a crash reconstruction.
Specialist officers from the mainland-based Collision Investigation Unit are conducting further examinations of Whiterails Road following a fatal motorcycle collision back in July.
Tragically, 31-year-old Sam Gibbons lost his life in the incident on 15th July.
Island Echo is told that the road is unlikely to be closed fully, but there will be temporary obstructions for a short period of time.
Southern Vectis Route 9 buses will divert via Briddlesford Road and Long Lane in both directions.
It is anticipated that the reconstruction will be complete by 10:30.
Anyone with any information relating to this collision is asked to call the Police on 101, quoting 44210279717.
