Local swimming star Zac Lacey has won the 200m Butterfly title at the British Down Syndrome Swimming Championships for the 3rd year in a row.
Having retained his World Championship title earlier this year in Turkey, last weekend Zac travelled to the K2 in Crawley to compete in the 2024
With a busy 2025 which is set to include the European Championships in Portugal and possibly the Global Games in Thailand, Zac has been working and training hard.
The 2-day competition saw Zac retain his 200m Butterfly title which he has now won 3-years running. Zac’s time in the final on Sunday was a new Championship Record.
As well as his Gold Medal on the Sunday. Zac also gained a silver medal in the 200m Individual Medley and a silver medal in the 400m Freestyle. Zac also won 3 silver medals in the 50m butterfly, 100m Butterfly and 100m Individual Medley.
