Ability Dogs 4 Young People is an Isle of Wight charity that trains assistance dogs to enhance the independence of disabled young people and children. The dogs support a range of physical and mental disabilities including cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy, diabetes, anxiety and depression.
It costs around £6,000 per year to train each puppy over their first 3 years. The charity also provides lifetime financial support for every working Ability Dog, ensuring cost is never a barrier to accessing their help.
The event offers a great opportunity to meet the team, learn more about the charity’s work, and support the training of life-changing assistance dogs. For more information, visit www.abilitydogs4yp.org.uk.
