Motorists have been experiencing traffic delays in Newport this afternoon (Saturday) as a result of a swan taking a stroll up the middle of the dual carriageway.
Cars came to a standstill on the northbound carriageway of Medina Way shortly after 13:00 when the white swan decided to play chicken with the traffic.
It wasn’t long before the southbound side of the road came to a near halt as motorists rubber-necked the bizarre situation.
Police have now managed to apprehend the jaywalker near to Sainsbury’s Petrol Station.
Traffic is getting back to normal – if there is such a thing.
