A local student nurse is taking on the Great South Run this Sunday in aid of a children’s heart charity.
21-year-old Katie Bache, who lives in East Cowes, will be running in aid of the Tiny Tickers ‘The Tiny Hearts Charity’.
The charity works to better the care, long-term support and testing for babies that are born with congenital heart disease.
Ahead of the event, Katie has said:
“Being a student children’s nurse myself now, it’s a charity which fits in with my chosen path too. It’s one charity which I will see the positive impact off as I go through my training.
“Any donations will be massively appreciated, hoping to raise any amount possible.
Anyone wishing to donate to the cause can do so here.
