Award-winning Strings Bar and Venue has recently revealed it is set to host a new chat show concept that will feature some exciting guests across a range of industries.
Let Sport Do The Talking and Let Music Do The Talking are the first 2 events to be announced as part of this new series. The shows are designed to provide the community with a midweek alternative to live music, through providing an interesting and informative evening with the selected guests.
Tuesday 11th March will see the first guest of the series, with former Bath, Harlequins, Worcester and England 7’s rugby union player Richard de Carpentier discussing his career at the top of the game in ‘Let Sport Do The Talking’. Richard may also now be recognised as a local businessman, as entering retirement led to the opening of highly rated coffee shop ‘Lagom’ in Bembridge.
Following this, legendary musician Morris ‘Mo’ Pleasure will be making an appearance on Tuesday 8th April, in ‘Let Music Do The Talking’. Mo has had career performing with some of the world’s greatest artists including Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, Earth, Wind & Fire and will certainly have some tales to tell.
A spokesperson for Strings said:
“We are always looking to provide variety in what we do. Although live music takes priority, it is important to recognise the value of entertainment we can provide in other areas.”
Tickets for these seated shows are limited and available at www.stringsbarandvenue.com.
The recent announcement of these new events coincides with the release of the Strings Bar & Venue app that can be downloaded on both Apple & Android app stores.
Audiences can now access the event calendar, buy tickets and receive notifications on new show announcements.
