STEVE ‘IRON MAN’ ORCHARD RAISES OVER £1,000 IN EPIC 65-MILE ROUND ISLAND TREK

For several years now, Steve Orchard has supported Freshwater Bay club captains by doing “crazy” stunts to raise funds for their chosen charities.  Last Saturday, Steve did exactly what he had promised, setting off from the clubhouse at 2:50 in the early hours of the morning (seen off by Club Captain Tony Hammonds). Steve was welcomed back to the Clubhouse at 19:30 the very same evening by over 40 of the golf club’s members.

Not content with having just walked a mere 65 miles, Steve then had sufficient energy to get on to the dance floor before finally heading home just before 10:00.

Steve’s charity walk has raised more than £1,000 in donations to date. Freshwater Bay Golf Club would like to thank Steve and his support team for their amazing effort.
