The magic of Halloween is returning to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway for Wizard Week during half term, from 24th to 28th October.
The Havenstreet attraction will be conjuring up plenty of tricks and treats and it wouldn’t be Halloween half term without a little magic with the Magical Professor Crump casting a spooky spell or 2.
Meet the friendly witches of Havenstreet as they wander the platform, as they dish out trick or treat bags for you to enjoy on your ‘ghostly’ steam train journey through the ‘haunted’ Island countryside.
Back at Havenstreet watch the skies as the birds of prey from Haven Falconry swoop and dive. What’s more halloween-y than an owl… owl-oween if you will. There will also be terrible tales and amazing illusions in the station yard.
General Manager Steve Backhouse has said:
“We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Railway this Halloween half term and Wizard Week certainly has a little more magic. The children who visit the Railway on Halloween really do go all out with their costumes and it’s great to see everyone, of all ages, having so much fun..
“We definitely recommend visitors pre-book via our website to guarantee their own family/group carriage, and you can also save yourself a little money too.”
There will be daily prizes for the best costumes, so fancy dress is positively encouraged.
