SPEEDWAY PROMOTERS TO SUPPLY PROTECTIVE MASKS TO NHS STAFF AND OTHERS

Published at:

The Wightlink Warriors speedway team have launched a branded and reusable face mask to help in the battle against COVID-19.

The free masks, which can be washed at 60 degrees centigrade, will be available shortly and will be distributed on a priority basis.

No financial gain will be made from this initiative as the promoters cover the cost, happy in the knowledge that they will have done a little bit more to support both the NHS and individuals at the most strange of times. Any donations will be passed to the Captain Tom Moore fundraising campaign.

The priority for face mask distribution is as follows:

• NHS staff of any capacity
• Care industry staff of any capacity
• Key workers
• Speedway fans that are in the high risk category
• Anyone else

Anyone interested in obtaining a mask is asked to contact Warriors co-promoter Barry Bishop via Facebook or email [email protected].
