Bembridge RNLI came to the aid of a broken down speedboat off Bembridge Ledge this afternoon (Saturday).
The station’s inshore D-class lifeboat ‘Norman Harvey’ was requested to launch by Solent Coastguard at around 14:30 after a 19ft speedboat broke down just south of the ledge.
With a repair not possible, the casualty vessel and its 2 crew were towed into Bembridge Harbour.
The lifeboat was recovered and rehoused by 15:40.
