Motorists are being advised about the closure of Smallbrook Lane from Monday morning (18th May) for carriageway and kerbing works.
The road, popular with those traveling between Bembridge and Ryde to Newport, will be closed from Great Preston Road to its junction with Smallbrook Roundabout between 08:00 on Monday 18th May and 17:00 on Friday 29th May.
The road will be reopened to traffic from Friday evening (22nd May) until Tuesday morning (26th May) over the end of May Bank Holiday.
The closure is for carriageway and kerbing works prior to resurfacing by Island Roads.
The alternative route will be: Great Preston Road, Alexandra Road, B3330 St Johns Hill and St Johns Road, Green Street, West Street, Swanmore Road and Ashey Road.
