Police are on the hunt for a slippery duo who stole £10,000 worth of suncream from Boots stores across the Isle of Wight earlier this week.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has launched an investigation into a series of high-value shoplifting incidents, in which 7 different Boots stores were targeted on the same day.
It’s understood that those responsible walked into each store before helping themselves to hundreds of bottles of expensive suncream products. The thefts occurred during store opening hours on Monday (26th February). Boots stores in Ryde, Bembridge, Sandown, Shanklin, Ventnor, Freshwater and Newport were all hit.
Police say the estimated value of the stolen suncream is a staggering £10,000. Officers are working with the affected stores and continue to make enquiries to identify 2 men they believe to be responsible. No arrests have been made.
