There are minor travel delays as a result of a car crashing into a wall in Ryde this afternoon (Tuesday).
A blue Skoda Fabia has collided with a low brick wall on Appley Road, close to the Bishop Lovett roundabout.
No one appears to have been seriously injured in the crash, which has set off the vehicle’s airbags.
It does not appear that any other vehicles have been damaged.
Southern Vectis are advising of possible delays to their Route 8 buses.

Driverless cars, can’t be trusted.
Can no one drive on the Island!
I suppose it was the Walls fault!
A car crash a day, Keeps the Overners away.
Because there’s no crashes on the mainland, ever?
This paper is about the Island, Island Echo – It’s in the name.
More Overners on the Island than Caulkheads Thesedays!
That’s Life!
Keeping your economy going I suspect.
We don’t fill our newspapers with accidents, we also don’t have a biased editor.
Another idiot will be along soon…
Something strange is happening on the island because each headline is, Car hits tree, Car leaves road, Car crash closes road, Car ends up on its roof, Car hits parked car, Cyclist is hit by car, Car mysteriously catches fire on waste land, Car catches fire overnight on the downs, but strangely as its seems none of these incidents can a drive be traced! sounds like another Roswell incident or strange but true!
Any ideas!

Didn’t think a Skoda could build up enough speed to damage a wall.
