A small sinkhole has forced the closure of Yarmouth High Street this afternoon (Friday).
Island Roads say the hole, which has opened up just outside ‘Forresters’, has been created by a collapsed sewer.
The road has been closed from its junction with South Street to its junction with St James Square. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises whilst the road is closed.
Contractors are on site and are working to repair the defect.
