A welfare concern in the Culver Down area sparked an afternoon call out for police, paramedics and HM Coastguard earlier this afternoon (Thursday).
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary were called just after 13:00 to a concern for welfare of a woman.
Joining them at the scene was an ambulance from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and HM Coastguard teams from Bembridge and Ventnor.
Thankfully, the woman in question was quickly located and conveyed onward to St Mary’s Hospital.
HM Coastguard, accompanied by a single Police officer, scoured the coast for around 15 minutes, sending a Rope Rescue Technician (RRT) over the cliff edge.
After around 90-minutes on scene, the emergency crews present stood down.
