Brides and grooms usually hire an expensive limousine for their first journey as a married couple, but Rebekka Wenman and her husband Peter decided to do things differently after their wedding service at St Mary the Virgin in Brading.
Rebekka and Peter tied the knot on Saturday 24th September. On leaving the church, they thought what better way to travel to their reception venue in Sandown than to hop on the Route 2 Southern Vectis bus.
Much to the amusement of those travelling from Ryde towards Sandown, the newlyweds boarded the double decker and asked for 2 singles to Sandown.
The bus driver was obliging enough to drop the newlywed couple and their guests as close to the Caulkheads as possible: the venue of the party to celebrate their nuptials.

Probably got McDonald’s to do the catering
fabulous…Well done everybody
if someone did this to me for my wedding id commit mass genocide and 3rd level arson…
Ecologically very sound well done
I think it was a fun thing to do . Somthing to remember of their special day xxx
Good to be different…
Certainly a day to remember.
Brilliant idea but the bus was probably more expensive than a taxi. Good luck guys.
