An East Cowes man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after allegedly chasing and kissing a 16-year-old boy near an educational facility in Newport this morning (Thursday). Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary called just after 09:00 to report that a male was jumping out in front of traffic and harassing people in St James’ Street, Newport near the Island VI Form. It was also reported he chased and kissed a 16-year-old male. At the scene, a 32-year-old man from East Cowes was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He remains in custody at this time.
