Former Home Secretary Suella Braverman is set to return to the Isle of Wight for a special evening in Newport to mark the launch of her new book, ‘Patriot: Empire, Betrayal and Hope’.
The Reform UK MP will visit on Friday 20th November, giving Islanders the opportunity to hear behind-the-scenes accounts from her time at the heart of British politics.
The evening will include an interview with Braverman, covering her experiences in the Cabinet, the challenges of serving as Home Secretary and some of the biggest political moments of recent years.
There will also be an opportunity for audience questions, as well as the chance to meet Braverman in person, have photographs taken and get copies of her new book signed.
It will be Braverman’s latest visit to the Isle of Wight, having previously appeared alongside Reform UK leader Nigel Farage at a major political rally at GG’s Bar & Restaurant, near Newport.

The sold-out rally attracted around 1,500 people, with Braverman making a surprise appearance and addressing Reform supporters ahead of the local elections.
Before joining Reform UK, Braverman also visited Ryde in February 2024 while serving as a Conservative MP, touring the town with Isle of Wight East MP Joe Robertson.
During that visit, she joined then-parliamentary candidate Joe Robertson to meet local businesses and residents, including stopping at Yelfs Hotel and the Royal Victoria Arcade.
Her forthcoming book launch will take place in Newport, although the exact venue will only be disclosed to ticket holders 48 hours before the event.
Doors will open at 18:30, with proceedings beginning at 19:15. Tickets are available now via www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/2003678456200.
