Residents in the Pondwell area of the East Wight remain without power this evening (Sunday) several hours after the outage was first reported.
Island Echo understands that around 280 customers in the area are currently without power.
The outage was first logged at around 12:00 with it hoped originally that power would be restored by 16:00. Unfortunately, some 3 hours after this, power is still out.
Local businesses in the area have been forced to close early as a result.
Engineers are on site in the area.
