Police on the Isle of Wight are searching for 74-year-old Roger Sharpe, who has gone missing from an address in Totland this morning (Sunday).
Mr Sharpe was last seen at an address on York Lane off Alum Bay New Road at 05:38 this morning. Officers are concerned for his safety.
Roger, who suffers from dementia, is described as white, slim, 6ft 1ins tall, with light brown/grey hair. He was last seen wearing a dark red jumper with a white collar, brown trousers and sandals.
Hampshire Constabulary believe he may have taken a small rubbish bin with him which he uses to carry around his possessions.
The National Police Air Service Helicopter is circling in the skies above the West Wight this morning.
Anyone with thinks they may have been this man is asked to contact Police on 101, quoting incident 231 of today’s date. In an emergency dial 999.
UPDATE @ 10:20 – Mr Sharpe has been successfully located.
