Santander has announced the closure of 95 branches across the country, but it has been confirmed that the Isle of Wight will not be one of them.
The rise of digital banking and changing customer habits have been blamed for the decision by the banking giant.
As well as the closures, Santander has announced that it will be reducing the opening times of a further 36 branches and converting another 18 into counter-free banking hubs.
The Newport branch – the only Santander left on the Isle of Wight – will not see its opening hours reduced.
