The 104-bedroom Broadway Park Hotel in Sandown has been purchased by Caledonian Leisure, which operates under the Caledonian Travel and UKBreakaways brands.
Following the acquisition, the property will be renamed as The Caledonian Island Hotel – a title chosen to reflect the company’s affection for, and strong connection to, the Isle of Wight.
It is due to re-open in February next year, when it will welcome both coach parties and self-drive guests.
The hotel becomes the sixth property to join the growing Caledonian Hotel Collection, which already includes popular destinations in Torquay, Blackpool, Scarborough, Arrochar, and most recently, Callander.
Graham Rogers, Managing Director at Caledonian Leisure, says:
“After the success of The Caledonian Hotel Collection in other key UK locations, we’re thrilled to welcome another beautiful hotel to our portfolio. The former Broadway Park Hotel is a key addition to our collection, and we’re confident our customers will be delighted to see it become part of the Caledonian family”.
David McDonald, Director, says:
“The Isle of Wight is a wonderful holiday destination, and our customers always share fantastic feedback about their visits. We’re proud to bring this historic property into our collection and will soon begin recruiting local team members to deliver the exceptional warmth and hospitality that Caledonian is known for.”

Good luck, Caledonian offer great deals countrywide.
Super news! Good group. It’s good to see someone putting a little faith and investment into Sandown.
