The Isle of Wight’s 2025 carnival summer bursts into life this month, with Sandown ready to kick off the season in 2 weeks’ time on Saturday 26th July.
The seaside town’s Children’s Carnival parade will set off from the Pier at 11:00 before the popular Main Carnival makes its way through the streets in the evening at 19:00.
Anyone wishing to enter either of Sandown’s parades can register on the day. Full details can be found at www.sandowncarnival.com/documents.
Paul Coueslant, Sandown Carnival, has said:
“We have new fancy dress entries every year, joining in the fun alongside the marching bands, colourful floats, spectacular costumes and all sorts of community entrants.
“There’s still time to put together an eye-catching creation.”
Registration for Sandown Children’s Carnival will take place by the Pier entrance at 10:30 before the parade makes its way to Sandham Gardens for a day of entertainment.
For the Main Carnival, walking entrants should register near the Sundial Cafe at Eastern Gardens from 17:00, with floats registering from the same time on Culver Parade between Fort Street and the Library roundabout.

Remember to have your 50ps ready to have a p*ss
Sandown is the only dump on the island that charges
such prices.
Much cleaner better looking Shanklin only charge 20p
to have a p*ss.
