Shoppers on the Isle of Wight are being urged to check their cupboards after Sainsbury’s issued a product recall for one of its premium chocolate snacks over fears it may contain pieces of metal.
The affected item is Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Belgian Milk Chocolate Honeycomb Pretzel (150g pack size), with the batch code L159922 and a best before date of April 2025.
According to the Food Standards Agency, the possible presence of metal makes the product unsafe to eat.
Sainsbury’s has issued recall notices in stores, and customers who have purchased the product are advised not to eat it. Instead, the item should be returned to the store for a full refund.
For further information, customers can contact the Sainsbury’s Careline Team on 0800 636 262.
No other products are known to be affected at this time.
