Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a 25-year-old woman from Ryde was found unconscious following an incident in Cowes during the early hours of Sunday.
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary were called to an area outside The Painter’s Arms at around 00:40 following reports of anti-social behaviour involving over 20 people. Upon arrival at the scene, a female was discovered unconscious on the floor – the potential victim of an assault.
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service raced to the incident in Cross Street, where they treated the young woman for injuries to her face.
An investigation into the incident has been launched with Police keen to speak to any witnesses. No arrests have been made.
