Ryde Inshore Rescue have assisted 2 kayakers – an adult and a child – after they were reported to be in difficulty off Seaview this afternoon (Sunday).
Solent Coastguard requested the launch of Ryde Rescue 1 shortly before 14:00 after reports were received of a situation developing off the East coast of the Island.
The independent lifeboat was quickly on scene and assisted the kayakers into nearby Bembridge Harbour.
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked to the harbour walk ashore to assist the casualties and offer safety advice.
The incident has now been brought to a close.
