UPDATED: Two fire appliances from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are currently attending a fire within a property on Upton Road in Ryde this evening (Sunday).
Firefighters from Ryde are using a stirrup pump to extinguish the small fire, the second appliance is being stood down.
The incident has occurred at a property near to the junction of Mitchell’s Road.
Nobody is thought to have been injured in the incident.
The road remains open in both directions.
UPDATE – Fire crews have now left the scene, returning to station.
