Police are in attendance at a road traffic incident on Brading Downs this morning (Wednesday) in which a BMW has left the carriageway.
The incident has occurred near the junction of Brading Down Road and Ashey Road in foggy conditions.
A BMW 1-Series has come to rest on the grass verge, but no injuries are thought to have been sustained.
Traffic is building in the area with one side of the road blocked by Police, who are directing vehicles past the scene under give and take.
Motorists should be aware of minor delays in the area during rush hour this morning.
I leave the house at 7a.m and cars/vans are speeding down Carisbrooke High Street much faster than 30mph. I would say at least 50mph. I therefore greatly suspect these same drivers are going above 60mph on the Middle Road and other out of town roads. These drivers wrongly think the roads will be empty at this time in the morning and therefore lose control on bends. They hit other cars pulling out of junctions around a bend as they are unable to stop in time. They will never learn.
I have been saying this for years
There is NO TRAFFIC LAW ON THE ISLAND
IW Council should be making our roads a safe place
Are they waiting for people to get killed by speeding motorists
before they do something about speed on the island!!
Sadiq Khan and Mark Drakeford made London and
Wales a safer place.
THERE ARE TOO MANY IDIOT MOTORISTS ON ISLAND ROADS
WHO SPEED
More wonderful island driving..
