A road traffic incident is causing delays on The Downs Road this morning (Tuesday).
Police and paramedics rushed to The Downs Road at around 08:40 following reports of an incident involving a single vehicle just past Newport Shute.
At the scene, a Citroen Berlingo has stopped in the middle of the Newport-bound side of the road, however, there are no signs of a crash.
Island Echo understands that paramedics are tending to those involved in the back of an ambulance.
The road remains open under give and take, however there are heavy delays in both directions.
