A bizarre road traffic collision on the dual carriageway in Newport is causing tailbacks this rush hour.
Police and paramedics are in attendance on the southbound side of Medina Way, just before the Fairlee Road slip.
A white VW T-Roc and a silver Mazda MX-5 have been involved in the smash, which happened at around 17:15.
It’s understood the MX-5 turned onto the northbound carriageway from Fairlee Road and spun, having lost the backend under acceleration, causing the vehicle to crash over into the southbound carriageway.
Police say that no injuries have been reported.
Traffic is extremely heavy in the area with the southbound carriageway closed from St Mary’s Junction. Motorists should expect delays.
Just another Numpty day on the Island
Am I correct in saying majority of motorists
use the dual carriageway as a Motorway!
No, because most people don’t even know how to use a dual carriageway correctly, let alone a motorway ..
Very true, also majority of motorists on the island
are confused when they approach roundabouts!
Lol
More shit driving on the island
Not to mention shit parking, island Numpty’s
don’t give a fcuk where they park
Zig Zags, Double Yellow Lines and Pavements.
IW Council and the law do nothing about it.
When you drive along Fairlee Road there is a
few houses on the right before approaching
St George’s roundabout in Newport
Always vehicles parked on the pavement
The island is a joke, it makes me wonder who runs
this shit show, Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck!
