A power cut is affecting hundreds of properties in the South Wight this evening (Sunday).
72 postcode areas in Kingston, Chale, Niton, Whitwell and Ventnor have been hit by the network fault.
Electricity was lost at around 18:25.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks say that engineers are en-route to investigate and repair the fault.
It is hoped that power will be restored by 21:30.

Doesn’t it seem funny to you that with all these cuts they never tell you where the fault is and you never see people out doing repairs. I wonder why that is

The report says “they are en-route” and that they hope power will be restored by 21.30 hrs. If they haven’t arrived at the fault location, how could they possibly say when power will be restored?
