Bembridge RNLI has successfully towed a RIB into Bembridge Harbour following an engine fire onboard tonight (Wednesday).
Solent Coastguard requested the launch of the inshore lifeboat at around 21:05 after reports were received of a vessel in difficulty.
A tow was quickly established and the casualty vessel was taken to the visitor’s pontoon at Bembridge Harbour.
The fire was already out upon arrival of the inshore lifeboat.
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team met with the lifeboat and RIB, where 4 people were helped ashore and offered safety advice.
