Residents of Brading and Adgestone have taken to social media to express their anger at an act of fly-tipping on a whole new scale – the dumping of a complete caravan.
At some point earlier today (Tuesday), the vehicle was abandoned in a small layby on Upper Adgestone Road – which connects Brading to Alverstone.
The single-axle caravan, which has significant structural damage and is unroadworthy, is said to be full of items including a gas canister. Red spray paint has been applied to the rear of the caravan, complete with a makeshift number plate made out of electrical tape.
The vehicle registration mark attached to the caravan comes back at a Chrysler Grand Voyager.
The matter has been reported to the authorities.
Looks like the Hedge Hopper’s have arrived.
Wasn’t we told a few weeks ago that fly tipping isn’t a problem on the island? This would go against what the council are saying
