UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are carrying out a rescue at Spinlock in Cowes this afternoon (Wednesday).
An aerial ladder platform, a rescue tender and at least 2 other appliances are currently on scene off Three Gates Road, where it is understood firefighters are rescuing a person from height.
Emergency services mobilised to the scene at just before 14:00.
East Cowes fire station have turned out to standby at Newport whilst the incident is ongoing.
UPDATE @ 14:40 – A man has been rescued after falling from scaffolding and becoming stuck.
An aerial ladder platform has been used to bring the casualty safely down to the ground.
Emergency services are now standing down from the incident.
