Red Funnel’s Red Jet service between Southampton and Cowes has been suspended this morning (Friday).
Service has been suspended as a result of adverse weather conditions above the operating limits of Red Jet 6.
It is believed tide levels are to blame.
Those wishing to know when service will resume should keep an eye on the Red Funnel website here.
The cross-Solent operator has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
Adverse weather? Perhaps the fan heater on the bridge failed…
As for tides, springs happen every two weeks and this one wasn’t particularly high, even at its mid-day peak. So another weak excuse.
Time for a real operator to take over: is Donald Duck available?
What a load of rubbish….
I crossed on Wightlink this morning and it was clear and smooth. Will the water in the Solent be too wet for Red Funnel next?
