Red Funnel’s vehicle ferry service between East Cowes and Southampton has been suspended again this morning (Tuesday) due to foggy conditions – as has the hi-speed Red Jet service.
Low visibility means that Red Funnel is unable to operate within Cowes Harbour – a rule set by the Cowes Harbour Commission following a number of incidents in years gone by.
Until the blanket of fog lifts, all of Red Funnel’s services to and from the Isle of Wight have come to a halt.
It is unclear when services are likely to resume.
Customers should expect disruption throughout the day as a result of this morning’s suspension – the second in as many days.
