Red Funnel have cancelled at least 2 car ferry sailings on their East Cowes to Southampton route this morning (Friday).
It’s been advised that the 07:30 from Southampton and the 09:00 from East Cowes have both been pulled.
Technical issues are being blamed for the cancellations.
It’s unknown at this time if any further timetabled sailings will be affected today and/or over the weekend.
It appears that Red Osprey is being withdrawn from operation at this time.
UPDATE @ 10:20 – The 10:30 Southampton to East Cowes sailing has now also been cancelled.
UPDATE @ 11:15 – Red Funnel are advising that the 12:00 East Cowes to Southampton sailing is delayed by 15-25 minutes.
UPDATE @ 12:50 – It has been confirmed that the problem with Red Osprey’s radar system has been resolved and the vessel is back in service.
