UPDATED: A technical issue on one of Red Funnel’s car ferries has resulted in a number of cancellations being made.
Earlier this morning the 09:45 East Cowes to Southampton sailing was cancelled due to a ‘technical issue’, with the 10:30 then running some 90 minutes behind timetable.
The cross-Solent operator has now announced that the following sailings have all been pulled from today’s timetable:
East Cowes to Southampton
15:45, 18:45
Southampton to East Cowes
14:15, 17:15
Those travelling across the Solent can expect delays in both directions.
It is unknown when the issue will be resolved.
UPDATE SATURDAY @ 08:00 – Due to the continuing technical issue with Red Osprey, a number of further cancellations have been made.
Island Echo understands the ferry has sustained damage to its hull during yesterday’s strong winds.
The following sailings have been cancelled:
East Cowes to Southampton
09:45, 12:45, 15:45
Southampton to East Cowes
11:15, 14:15
