The private woodland of Knighton East Wood is being opened up to the public in aid of the Isle of Wight Red Squirrel Trust this coming Sunday (28th April). Islanders are invited to see the fabulous display of bluebells between 10:30-15:30, with last entry at 15:00. There will be an opportunity to learn more about red squirrels and report your own sightings to the team. Haylands Farm and the Isle of Wight Hedgehog Rescue will also be joining the Trust on the day. Entry is £3 for adults, kids go free. Refreshments and stalls will be present, but the event is cash only. Well-behaved dogs are welcome but you must keep them on a lead. There will be a toilet available on site, although this is a simple portaloo. More information can be found at https://iowredsquirreltrust.co.uk/bluebell-day-sunday-28th-april-2024.

This sounds good 🙂
This is truly what life should be all about
Shame about the wet weather but the afternoon might be OK.
The bluebells on Wroxall Down are a sight to behold too. Drive up to the top of Down Lane in Ventnor and take a wander to your left.
