Firefighters were called into action yesterday afternoon (Monday) after a fire broke out at HMP Isle of Wight.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a fire at HMP Isle of Wight at 13:00 yesterday afternoon (Monday 21st April).
Crews from Newport and Ryde investigated and confirmed that the fire had been extinguished.
The stop message was issued at 13:18, with crews leaving the scene shortly after.
