Over 600 homes and businesses in Shanklin have been hit by yet another power cut – with supplies not expected to be restored until the early hours of Sunday morning.
It was just gone 21:00 that power was lost to 55 postcode areas in the seaside town of Shanklin.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks are aware of the fault and engineers are working to restore power to all affected customers as soon as possible.
The current estimated restoration time is 02:30 tomorrow morning.
A secondary power cut has been registered in the Luccombe Road area of Luccombe, suggesting properties there may be without electricity for longer.
Tonight’s outage is the latest in a series of power cuts affecting the Shanklin area – and more specifically Luccombe.
