UPDATED: A power cut is affecting eastern parts of Newport this afternoon (Tuesday).
24 postcode areas are currently experiencing disruption to their electricity supply, including areas such as Fairlee Road, Staplers Road and Long Lane.
The power was cut at 12:30.
Southern and Scottish Energy Power Disruption are aware of the issue and are estimating that repairs should be completed by 14:30.
UPDATE @ 14:10 – SSEPD say that power is now expected to be restored by 17:00.
UPDATE @ 17:10 – The network issue has been rectified and power should now have been restored to all properties
