UPDATED: A power cut has hit the PO30, PO36, PO37 and PO38 areas of the Isle of Wight this lunchtime (Wednesday), leaving some 120 postcode areas without electricity.
Scottish and Southern Energy Power Distribution are looking into the fault, which was reported at 13:09. They hope to have power restored by 14:00.
Those affected include postcodes PO30 2; PO30 3; PO30 4; PO36 0; PO36 9; PO37 7 and PO38 3.
UPDATE @ 13:30 – Power has been quickly restored to almost all properties.
Properties without power are expected to see supplies return by 16:00.
