A Shanklin hotel made famous by Channel 5’s The Hotel Inspector is changing hands.
The Gracellie Hotel located on Shanklin’s Hope Road will soon be run the owners of Sun Rise Hotel Ltd – a family run enterprise.
It was back in 2022 that the Isle of Wight establishment was visited by Alex Polizzi for the hit Channel 5 show.
Taking to their Facebook page, current owner Philip Wagstaff and his team thanked supporters, staff and guests for being part of what they described as a ‘rollercoaster’ journey.
Special thanks were extended to Alex and the Hotel Inspector team, along with colleagues Wes, Charlotte Bongo, and Charlotte, for their contributions to the Gracellie story.
All existing bookings will be honoured by the new owners, Steve and Gwen, who have taken over the hotel under its new name. The site is expected to continue trading without disruption.
Good luck, it must be very difficult running a large hotel
in such economic conditions.
