The Stag Inn has once again demonstrated the power of community spirit by raising over £1,000 for prostate cancer research.
This remarkable achievement was made possible through the dedication and generosity of the pub’s patrons, who participated in a series of quizzes organised over the past year.
The Stag’s management and staff are immensely proud of their community-minded locals who came together to support such a worthy cause. The quizzes, which became a regular and much-anticipated event at the pub, not only provided entertainment but also served as a platform for raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer research.
Following one of the patron’s diagnosis of prostate cancer a couple of years ago, the local customers showed their unwavering support by generously donating in collection buckets during each quiz night. Their contributions, no matter how big or small, collectively made a significant impact, culminating in the impressive total of over £1,000.
A spokesperson for The Stag has said:
“We are incredibly grateful to our patrons for their generosity and enthusiasm.
“Their support has been instrumental in helping us raise funds for prostate cancer research, and we are proud to be part of such a caring and community-focused group of individuals.”
The funds raised will be donated to a leading prostate cancer research organisation, where they will be used to further important research and advancements in the fight against this disease.
